JLens took inspiration from Judaism’s framework of “mitzvot” (obligations) to develop three Jewish value pillars, which it uses to evaluate companies: Combat Antisemitism & Hate (Rodef Shalom), Support for Israel (Shmirat Yisrael), and Repair the World (Tikkun Olam).
We are aware that the term “Jewish values” can be interpreted differently by different people and we acknowledge that Jewish investors, like all investors, do not agree on everything. JLens reserves its strongest screening and advocacy for areas of clear Jewish consensus, such as opposing antisemitism and supporting Israel, while respecting the legitimate diversity of Jewish thought on complex policy questions.
